I am a visual artist, teaching artist from Providence, RI. I make silkscreened prints, posters, and textiles / textile objects, beginning with pencil drawings, hand-cut rubylith stencils, and printing them by hand on fabric and paper. The subject matter is buildings, letterforms, and sometimes just colors, as well as other designs I draw. My work on paper ranges in size from standard postcard to larger than 18×24, my current main fabric project is cotton bandanas with an original design that I print and sew myself. I also am planning to have some tote bags for the fall sale, with two of my designs – one which I would print myself on pre-made bags, and one which I would have printed and sewn in the USA. I also am working on making machine-embroidered patches of some of my designs. I want to do the bags and patches *right* and up to RISD Craft’s standards, so I welcome communication and feedback about these processes.Thank you!
