Julie VanSuch is a Philadelphia, PA based artist and textile designer. VanSuch is very inspired by nature, glitch and geometric patterns. She likes to play with overlapping patterns and organic motifs to create art that looks like it belongs in a surrealist dream. VanSuch uses drawing, painting, collage, photography and some digital media to create her artwork. Her current series, Cosmic Logic, is focused on painting and collage on large scale canvases and smaller works on paper. After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2007 with a BFA in Textiles, VanSuch moved to New York, NY where she built her career. She has maintained her own art practice while working professionally as a textile designer with some iconic lifestyle brands in home, accessories and fashion design for the past fifteen years.
