I graduated from RISD Furniture Design Class 2004 but my professional experience has been in the footwear industry. After studying and working between the US and abroad for over 14 years, I got a grant to return back home and launch Isleñas. Isleñas is a footwear brand based in Puerto Rico and manufactured in Puerto Rico and Latin America. Our social mission is to create a positive social impact through manufacturing. We train our staff both in house and in collaboration with different local non-profits that use the needle industry as a path to economic autonomy.
