Staveley Kuzmanov is a Providence-based artist working in textiles mediums. Her recent work includes machine knit apparel and three-dimensional stuffed forms that double as pillows and sculptural objects. Kuzmanov’s formal experiments with color, pattern and material playfully investigate optical phenomena and the nature of visual representation in a postmodern digitized age.
