Karen Eisenberg [1982, Jewelry + Metalsmithing / MFA 1987, Jewelry + Metalsmithing]

Nature inspired designs are my focus so as to create jewelry that is relatable and wearable for everyday and special occasions. The scope of my work blends fabricated one-of-a-kind pieces along with limited production collections using the lost wax process. My unique textures begin with carving and stamping with silver clay as a method to create my sheet stock, my personal canvas. Traditional fabrication techniques are used for construction with Argentium silver and gold with additional embellishments using kuemboo and stone setting in the most elaborate pieces. My hope for the wearer is to feel a sense of casual elegance that is classic and easy to wear in any arena.
