Karen Eisenberg [1982, Jewelry + Metalsmithing / MFA 1987, Jewelry + Metalsmithing]
Karen Eisenberg began her exploration of jewelry design and metalsmithing in high school and again at RISD where her passion for moving metal grew. Her work is strongly influenced by natural forms and textures that provide inspiration to create jewelry that is new, refined and classic. She strives for comfort and wearability in all of her designs. Traditional techniques such as fabrication, various forming techniques and signature textures made from silver clay are indicative of her distinctive style while occasionally referencing ancient designs. She works in silver and gold with added gemstones for a pop of color in many of her designs.
