Elise Moran [1990, Jewelry + Metalsmithing]
Elise Moran’s jewelry pieces are inspired by natural forms, patterns & structures, but she also finds inspiration in art and cultural themes. Working in mostly in silver & gold, she creates small, wearable, sculptural pieces; utilizing precious materials to depict precious subjects in nature and life. Her designs often start with a sketch, then paper a model. Then using traditional metal smithing techniques, she will produce a silver model which is then cast using the lost wax method in order to make multiples. All of Elise’s pieces are hand-finished by her with great care and attention to detail to create lasting, wearable collections.
