Eloise Mahoney is a fiber artist designing and punch needling textiles that she hand sews on to the back of carefully thrifted jackets. Punch needle rug hooking is a rug making technique in which yarn is punched through a backing fabric to make a dense, looped textile. Eloise sketches original designs, plans the color palette, punch needles the design with 100% wool and sews the completed fiber art to the jacket. She finishes the process by adding new buttons, her own label and care instructions. She has a growing inventory of originally designed jackets, for adults and children, and offers custom designs as well.
