Anika Marsh creates original oil paintings at her studio in Providence RI that are inspired by her experiences and love for nature. Her favorite subjects to paint are birds, bunnies, and koi fish. She gives each painting life through a hint of abstraction mixed with a realist approach, to make the painting feel grounded, while also giving them her own personal expressive touch. Anika sources her inspiration from aspects of her daily life, whether it’s from the bunnies from her front yard in Rhode Island, birds she finds on her birding adventures throughout her trips, to the Japanese koi ponds in her hometown of Tokyo. Each of her oil paintings are made using high quality oil paint and linen canvases that are varnished, signed, and framed. The frames are professionally custom made by her and her father. Limited edition prints are printed in house on archival matte paper, signed, numbered and come with a mat and backing board for extra durability and protection. Anika’s paintings capture the cuteness and playful behaviors of the birds and bunnies and the beauty and elegance of the koi fish to create a space of joy and comfort. Anika paints, wishing to share these feelings she sees in these animals to the homes and offices of art collectors and nature enthusiasts alike.
