Weston paints colorful scenes of nature, drawing inspiration from places he goes and people he meets. At RISD Craft this year he will be selling framed original paintings and fine art prints of his recent work. He primarily paints on paper, using watercolor, gouache and colored pencils to make detailed, undulating depictions of the great natural world. Several new paintings reflect his recent experiences in his home of the upper midwest, where climate change is altering the ecology of the prairies, fields, forests, lakes and rivers.
