Alfredo Lorenzo is a contemporary artist residing in North Scituate, Rhode Island. His paintings depict traditional and contemporary life, focusing on the continuity of culture in our societies and an awareness for the environment, both natural and manmade. The chosen imagery is revealed through layer upon layer of paint, expressive brushstrokes, and the scraping away of the painted surface exposing a vigorous interplay of vivid
colors in the background and/or foreground of each painting. His chosen medium is oil pastel/stick, oil paint and more recently acrylic paint. Alfredo’s work is included in multiple collections throughout North and South America. Locally, his work can be found at IGT (formerly GTECH), Dialysis Centers of RI, Rhode Island Convention Center, Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
