Anastasia Azure [MFA 2011, Textiles]
Anastasia Azure integrates an ancient Peruvian weaving technique with contemporary materials to create handwoven, sculptural jewelry. Using a traditional floor loom, she interlaces nylon monofilament and wire to make rhythmic, biophilic forms to evoke harmony. Based in a historic Rhode Island textile mill, her work honors sacred practices while innovating wearable art rooted in handcraft traditions.
