Colin Sullivan-Stevens [2001, Painting]

RISD grad Colin Sullivan-Stevens has invented a new type of utilitarian bag called an Anchorpak. His commitment to truly improve the experience of carrying arose while making a simple but uniquely fitting bag for an art happening in Maine. Colin founded Anchorpak in 2014 to continue his pursuit of developing bag concepts to align effortlessly with the human form. Comfortably looping around the torso rather than merely hanging down over the shoulder, Anchorpak bags shift the frustrating experience of carrying to a better place by reducing muscle strain on the shoulders compared to standard cross body bags. Designed with simple functionality in mind for easier commuting, biking, travel, school, parents, and more. Anchorpaks are sewn with skill in Maine from high quality durable fabrics sourced in the USA. Colin hopes Anchorpak provides consumers with the choice of a bag that won’t let them down before it wears out.
