Claire makes fine art ceramics pieces, and she creates a line of functional and decorative work for the home. Her work uses a combination of techniques, such as wheel throwing, piercing, slip-trailing, underglaze transfers, and more to create a functional piece packed with decorative features. She wants to connect the physical use with an impactful visual experience. While she mainly creates sculptural work, she believes in accessibility, and creates functional ware that relates to her other bodies of work, breaching the gap between fine art, and craft. She believes that the not only galleries but the home space deserves a beautifully hand-crafted element that allows the viewer an enchanting experience.
