Cranston Propulsion Laboratories (CPL) is a collaborative project founded by RISD alumni Jack Kemper (BFA FURN ’25), Jonathan Dinetz (BFA FURN ’24), and Hank Hurst (BFA SCULPT ’24), working at the intersection of industrial craft, sculptural form, and social practice. Our work integrates material intelligence with fabrication to produce objects and environments that are both functional and expressive. CPL prides itself on developing quality products that fortify users against both the spiritual and physical threats posed by Life in the Aggregate (LITA). Each objéct off our line is imbued with the industry-leading precision, quality, and care that could only come from decades of experience and resolve. Here in Cranston, failure is not an option.
