D. Simpkin is a knitwear brand showcasing colorful and humorous designs in sustainable materials. Every item is created myself on a manual knitting machine, and then sewn together by hand, and all patterns and designs are original. My work often shows the connection with textiles and computers, mixing the contemporary work of pixel art with an older craft of knitting, and creates vibrant knitwear items, ranging from hats, scarves, and various sweater types. Fibers used are either natural (Wool, Cotton, Linen, etc.) or synthetics that are purchased secondhand (Vintage, dead-stock, and repurposed).
