Domingo Pablo [2023, Illustration]
Domingo Pablo is an artist and illustrator based in Providence, RI. Pablo was born in Guatemala, Central America. He is a trilingual, native speaker of K’iche’, the Mayan language of Guatemala, and advanced in Spanish and English. Pablo graduated with a BFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2023. He is fascinated to illustrate themes of the imaginary world, personal experience, memory, and cultural backgrounds. His main illustration representations focus on childhood and anthropomorphism of Animalia, nature and objects. Pablo works both traditionally and digitally to make a final artwork. He sketches on paper, makes final line works in pencil and then adds details in colored pencils with a final touch using digital medium such as Photoshop brushes. Pablo has exhibited his work at the Woods Gerry Gallery, ISB Gallery, The Providence Art Club, La Galera del Pueblo, The Mana Contemporary, Jersey City, NJ. And The American Museum of Natural History, NYC.
