Amy Thurber [1988, Illustration]

I have always had a close relationship with nature, so it only makes sense that I garden and forage for my art. I coax leaves into functional pottery, to capture their ephemeral quality; their uniqueness, texture, and living form. My goal is to catch leaves in a moment in time, as a fossil might, while adding whimsy and a useful quality that allows us to embrace their essence in a new way. ‘One of a Kind Pottery from the Garden, for the Table’
