Emily Hues is a printmaker and mixed media artist who takes inspiration from the natural world-coral reefs, rock and salt formations and the cycles of change found in nature. She translates those ideas into layered, colorful works that sit between abstraction and environment. Her prints and works on paper use texture and process to reflect both beauty and fragility. At RISD Craft, Hues will be showing hand-pulled prints, unique works on paper, and small editions.
