I create each object from thousands of tiny reclaimed wood scraps, stacked piece by piece, layer by layer, carefully controlling both wall thickness & profile. The exteriors are sculpted with handheld tools (NO lathe work involved), resulting in patterns reminiscent of mosaic tile work. The finely honed finished surfaces undulate ever so slightly under one hand, similar to that of hand built ceramics.
