The “Loggy Stools” collection is a unique exercise in seating design that centralizes sustainability and whimsy. Made from felled branches rather than full trees, each stool is made by Groom in his Hudson Valley workshop and follows no blueprint. The stools, which come in various versions (footstool, stool, chair, and high chair), are all clearly different yet from the same intention and family of thought. Inspired by the choreographic forms of tree limbs and organic growth, Groom insists on freeing the form of each “chair” by not prescribing them to one repetitive outcome.
