Having lived for over twenty five years in northern New England I spend many hours outside observing the natural world around me. I am fascinated by surface patterns, shapes and forms discovered on my wanderings. Using these natural forms and textures provide inspiration to interpret and create unique surface patterns in my jewelry that is original, refined and classic. I am influenced by different genres from contemporary to ethnic cultures and incorporate those influences into varying surfaces and patterns. I work with silver and gold and combine traditional milled metal techniques such as construction, forming and soldering, incorporating those processes together with patterns made from silver clay. Kuembu (gold foil) Gemstones and beach stones are additional elements I use to enhance my designs.
