Lauren Davis [2026, MArch]
Lauren Davis is a designer, illustrator, and traveler interested in the relationship between journey and space, and how they shape the way we experience time and tell stories. With a rich background in experimental architectural practices and a history of long-term treks—whether on foot, by bike, on skis, or any other means—her work reflects a deep engagement with both place, movement, and adventure.
Her two self-published zines embody these interests. The first is a collection of drawings made while hiking the 2,653-mile Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada, offering glimpses into the unique culture shaped by life out of a backpack. The second documents an 8-week bikepacking through Japan, pairing studied observations of food, hospitality, architecture, and culture with the grit and playfulness of life on the road. In addition to these zines, she also sells prints of her work as well as hand drawn figures that embody the adventures from her work.
She is currently in her final year of the Master of Architecture program at the Rhode Island School of Design.
