Lunchbreak Bags are one-off designs made from vegetable tanned cow hides. The leather used in the bags is scrap from a handbag factory in Providence RI, containing scars, tick bites, clamp marks from the stretching process, uneven pebble and other characteristics which deem a section of the hide unusable for commercial applications. The artist currently works as the cutter in the handbag factory but started out in assembly and has received free range to use other machines in the shop for personal projects during lunch break and after hours.
