The FIREBOX is an outdoor fireplace designed as a crucible for a wood burning fire. With the cover in place, it stands as a sculpture, serving as a centerpiece for your outdoor gathering space. With the cover off, an option exists to place the cover on edge, interlocking with the base and serving as a backdrop to the flame, offering protection from prevailing winds. The design process included sketch drawings, full scale models and several prototypes to refine and perfect the design.
