Ian Cozzens makes prints and textiles (and other stuff) in Providence, RI. Locally known as a screenprinter of urban landscapes & intricate show posters, he’s recently been experimenting with low-stakes collographs, learning machining skills in order to create repeat printing infrastructure for fabric & wallpaper, building art installations involving patterns, text, and interior spaces, and pacing himself to complete elaborate multi-year patchwork & quilting projects. What’s the point if it’s not a constant series of attempts, projects, endeavors, and challenges, right? New prints from that collography work and new bandanas featuring a queer dazzle camouflage pattern will join some of Ian’s classic landscape posters, etc, for this edition of RISD Craft.
