My ShineNotBurn Ceramic practice comes directly from the graduate teachings at RISD in Graphic Design where we were encouraged to explore a plethora of mediums and materials hands-on, then return to integrate new knowledge in the design studio. My ceramic pieces are one-of-a-kind, created from a place of curiosity where mind and hands communicate: texture, form, weight, moisture, and movement converge in playful and expressive climaxes. Wood firing adds to the delight of unique and unexpected results.
