Silk Scarf with History- Along the path of my global travels, I buy beautiful textiles...pieces, yardage, old clothing. The patterned side of this scarf came from India- it was a friend's sari. She wore it once and had dropped a bit of wine on it. As she was about to throw it away, I grabbed it out of her hands, went to the market and bought new silk for the back. My reborn scarves, including this one, are limited editions of 4-6 scarves, the silk coming from India, Japan, Vietnam, and more....

Silk Indigo Dots- This is a merger of my love of polka dots and indigo, a natural dye- all coming together in this scarf. Modeled by Tamaryn, Chief Inspiration Officer of Tamaryn Design (and my daughter).

Bamboo/Cotton Jacket- This jacket design is a very flexible style- in 5-6 colors per season. This design project was the start of my relationship with a young woman tailor entrepreneur. We began with this jacket- sourcing the bamboo/cotton fabric, increasing pattern quality and quality control, along with business skills along the way. It worked well, and it is one of my favorite projects. We continue to collaborate, as her business continues to bloom.

Layer Silk Scarves- Made with 3 different colors of silk bound on one side with a French seam, this scarf is a chameleon depending on how it is wrapped, folded or knotted. There are 5-7 different color palettes per season. It is quite a challenge produce this simplicity, and that is what makes it special.

Silk Arashi Shibori Scarf- I created the pattern on this scarf by two different processes. I first dyed the scarf light grey dye, then washed and dried it. For the next step I folded it around a PVC pole, tied and then scrunched it, and dyed it, dried, washed and finally unwrapped it. This process is somewhat like controlled chaos. Though basically I know what happens, each time there are always (usually) wonderful surprises.
