Emma Powers, the designer, artist, and founder of The Gilded Bog strives to create beautiful and meaningful objects, with a touch of whimsy and all the magic of the forest. Inspired by her childhood running through the woods of Connecticut, building fairy houses, her work straddles the line between art and design. Rooted in wonder, her objects exist at the intersection of the real and the ethereal. Emma’s work remains sustainable and material focused. She sources all her materials from the United States, locally when possible. Emma works in clay, wax, and across mediums to hand make each piece out of her small Connecticut studio.
