Tony Torres is an emerging Chicano artist who works in both printmaking and painting, and also handcrafts amate bark paper. His pieces are bold and layered, built up through mark, color and texture. Drawing from memory, cultural motifs and everyday life, Torres’s work merges traditional materials with modern approaches. His paintings and prints speak to resilience, heritage and the way stories can live through surface and symbol. At RISD Craft, Torres will be offering original works on paper, painting and print editions.
