This body of work consists of ongoing studies of transparencies and color in the borosilicate glass medium. They are an extension of my painting practice. Through the forms of miniature vessels and jewelry, I attempt to combine the experiments in color, form, and material with the practicality and usability of glass objects. In this upcoming craft show, I will introduce limited sets of items such as the ‘caterpillar cup’ series, in which I continue to push the sculptural aspects of structure alongside other cups that are more traditional in form and craft. My hope in the glass objects is that it will introduce a sort of intimate careful delight to those who appreciate it at a very affordable cost, like a pocket of rainbow.
