THIS APPLICATION IS ONLY FOR CURRENT RISD STUDENTS. Please read before applying:

  • RISD Craft: Fall 2024 will be held on Benefit Street, on Saturday, October 19, and if accepted, you are required to be present for the duration of the sale, 10am-4pmIf you do not check in by 9am, you will not be allowed to participate, and your fee will not be refunded.
  • If selected to participate, the fee is $55, which includes required state and city permits. Your fee also includes a 6 ft x 30 inch table and two folding chairs.
  • If selected, you will need to make your $55 booth fee payment no later than September 30. We are unable to split booth payments. If you are sharing your booth, one student must be responsible for payment.
  • Booths at RISD Craft can be split with another student, but you must each fill out the application and indicate the share. You may not share the booth with unregistered students. We need to have records for all students participating to comply with local and state permits.
  • On the application, you will be asked to submit one image, representative of the type of work you will bring to the show. Images should be in jpeg format, between 800 and 1200 pixels on the longest side. Please name your image file using your name (e.g. firstname.lastname.jpg). You are not being juried on this image.
  • Students meeting eligibility criteria will be accepted to the show as space allows. In the event that we have more applications than tables available, a lottery will be used to select participants, with upperclassmen prioritized.
  • F-1 international students: We are unfortunately unable to include F-1 international students as vendors in this year’s RISD Craft given financial, legal, tax and immigration regulations and implications. Considerations included the potential impact that income generated by the sale could have on your F-1 visa status. Students on the F-1 visa cannot participate in off-campus employment without work authorization in the U.S. Some examples of off-campus employment include art sales, being paid by organizations or individuals outside of RISD, running a business while you are physically in the U.S. or generating any active income.
Please be assured that conversations for alternative solutions are ongoing and we welcome any ideas that still protect your international status. If you have additional questions on F-1 visa regulations as an international student, please contact issa@risd.edu.

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 at 11:59PM, no exceptions. Participation status will be emailed to you no later than Monday, September 23.
